Private Commissions

Don is presently accepting private commissions.

This is a very personal service.

To ensure complete client satisfaction it is important that Don establish a good working relationship with the client.

Don likes to talk directly to the client about their subject to gain an understanding and feeling for the clients wishes.

Once topic is established the first step in the process is to determine painting size, setting and establish research information available to Don e.g. photographic references.

When creating a classic or historic work it is important to the works credibility and value to achieve accuracy and authenticity.

Pricing is determined by size and complexity. A deposit would be agreed upon prior to commencement, with final payment on delivery.

Don will normally start with a compositional sketch, working with the client to establish the final composition.

Don will seek client approvals during the process and the client may follow the progress of their painting, in the Studio page of this site.
